FROM THE FIELDS OF JALISCO TO THE HEART OF ENCINITAS

We are a true family-ow Juan Carlos Alvarez's journey started in Santa Anita, Mexico, where he began working the fields at just four years old. In 1976, he moved to the U.S. with a dream and an incredible work ethic. Though he arrived without English or formal schooling, he found a natural home in the floral industry. By day, he worked the greenhouses; by night he took classes to master the language and leadership skills that would define his future.

After a decade of selling home-grown blooms at a local stand with his father, Silvino, Carlos officially founded Carlos Floral in 2001.

A FAMILY TRADITION

We are a true family-owned and operated business. Alongside Carlos are his wife Linda, their son Andres, and their daughter Linda Miller. What started as a small stand has grown into a national supplier, but our commitment remains unchanged: we produce premium, long-lasting flowers with the same passion and integrity Carlos brought to the fields as a young boy.​
